What stays on your device

Five things, all in your browser’s local storage, none of them sent anywhere except where it says so:

Clearing your browser’s data for this site erases all five, and nothing of yours survives on our side when you do.

What we count

Two numbers against a song: how many people hearted it, and how many heard it. Not who, not when, not what else was playing. They exist so the next album is chosen by the people who actually listened.

What you type, and what you say

When you type how you want to feel, that sentence — and nothing else — is sent to a language model to work out what to play. It is capped at 400 characters and carries no identifier with it.

The microphone is different, and worth knowing. Speech is turned into text by your own browser, using Apple’s or Google’s speech service depending on the browser you use. That audio never reaches us. We receive the words, exactly as if you had typed them. The microphone is released the moment you stop speaking.

If you chip in or buy a shirt

Stripe takes the payment. Card numbers never touch this site and we never see them. Stripe tells us whether the money arrived, and for a shirt it gives us the name, postal address and email you entered so the shirt can be posted to you.

We pass exactly those to Printful, who print and post it and email you when it ships. Nothing else goes to them.

If a payment goes through and the order does not, we keep the payment reference and the reason until it is put right, because otherwise somebody is owed a shirt that nobody knows about.

Who else touches this

Vercel serves the site and keeps ordinary server logs, which include IP addresses, as every web server does. Cloudflare delivers the audio and the films. Upstash stores the counts. Stripe and Printful are above. That is the entire list.

What we never do

We do not sell anything about you, we do not run advertising, we do not build a profile of your listening, and we will not email you marketing. There is no mailing list to be added to.

Children

This station is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Asking us

Because there is no account, we mostly have nothing of yours to show you or delete. Where a payment is involved, write to contact@zeropoint.pub and we will tell you what we hold and remove what we can.
